Welcome to my website.

I'm based in Hampshire, in the south of England, where I'm fortunate enough to live within easy distance of both the coast and the countryside.  I'm married, have two children, and a dog called Tilly.  During the day, when everyone else is out of the house, I juggle my writing with dog-walking and, when the mood takes me, a bit of housework.

I've been writing since 2006, when I took a Creative Writing course with Portsmouth College.  The following year I began studying with the Open University, and graduated with a BA (Hons) Humanities with Creative Writing, First Class in 2012.  As part of my degree I completed two writing modules, Creative Writing and Advanced Creative Writing, and passed both with Distinction.   After leaving the OU, I enrolled at the University of Chichester, where I was awarded a Creative Writing MA with Distinction in 2015.   At the moment, I'm continuing to work on the novel which formed part of my dissertation.

I am a member of Portsmouth Writers' Hub and the Portsmouth based spoken word group T'Articulation.

During 2014 I was invited to answer some questions about my writing, and writing process, as part of the Blog Tour Monday project.    You can read my blog post here.

Over the last few years my short fiction and poetry have appeared online and in print.  You'll find the details and links within these pages, as well as news of my appearances at spoken word events.

Thanks for stopping by.

Every picture tells a story ...

Where I'd rather be ...
