Welcome to my website.

I'm based in Hampshire, in the south of England, where I'm fortunate enough to live within easy distance of both the coast and the countryside.  I'm married, have two children, and an accident prone dog called Tilly.

I've been writing since 2006, when I took a Creative Writing course with Portsmouth College.  The following year I began studying with the Open University, and graduated with a BA (Hons) Humanities with Creative Writing, First Class in 2012.  As part of my degree I completed two writing modules, Creative Writing and Advanced Creative Writing, and passed both with Distinction.   After leaving the OU, I enrolled at the University of Chichester, where I was awarded a Creative Writing MA with Distinction in 2015.

I am a member of Portsmouth Writers' Hub and the Portsmouth based spoken word group T'Articulation.

During 2014 I was invited to answer some questions about my writing, and writing process, as part of the Blog Tour Monday project.  More recently, novelist Gill Thompson invited me to contribute to her WordKindling blog.

Over the last few years my short fiction and poetry have appeared online and in print.  You'll find the details and links within these pages, as well as news of my appearances at spoken word events.

Thanks for stopping by.

Every picture tells a story ...

Standing on wet sand that reflects the sky, three wetsuited figures carrying surfboards walk towards the sea.

Where I'd rather be ...
